About Virtual Jury Box
Bringing Real People Into the Heart of Trial Preparation
Virtual Jury Box was created to make mock trials and focus groups more accessible for lawyers who need clear feedback and for people who want to participate in meaningful, compensated research. Our goal is simple: to bridge the gap between how lawyers think a case sounds and how everyday people actually hear it.
Our Story
Dr. Juli Adelman founded Virtual Jury Box after more than two decades of work in jury research and trial consulting. As the founder of Vantage Trial Consulting, she conducted hundreds of mock trials, focus groups, and jury selections across the country. But she saw a problem: most firms could only offer in-person sessions which are expensive, time-consuming, and limited by geography.
So she built Virtual Jury Box, a platform that combines her expertise in juror psychology with today’s virtual tools to deliver the same depth of insight, faster and more efficiently.
Today, Virtual Jury Box helps trial lawyers test their cases online, using real participants who reflect the demographics of the venue where their case will be heard.
About Dr. Juli Adelman

From an early age, Juli was fascinated by what makes people tick. That curiosity led her to study psychology, earning her graduate degree in social psychology with a focus on juror decision-making (how people form opinions, weigh evidence, and influence one another in groups). She later earned her doctorate in clinical psychology, deepening her understanding of how personality, perception, and emotion shape human behavior.
This dual expertise, the science of research and the empathy of human understanding, defines the Virtual Jury Box approach: grounded, analytical, and focused on what jurors actually think and feel.
Our Promise
Every Virtual Jury Box project is guided by three commitments:
Realistic Research
Participants are jury-eligible, screened for your venue’s demographics, and deliberations mirror real-world courtroom dynamics.
Reliable Insight
Each session produces clear, actionable feedback you can use to refine arguments, prepare witnesses, or plan voir dire.
Respect for Privacy
All sessions are confidential. Participants sign NDAs, and data is protected using encrypted, secure systems.
