Virtual Jury Box is an online research platform that connects lawyers with people like you to better understand how jurors think. You’ll take part in small, moderated online sessions where you watch case presentations, share opinions, and discuss what influenced your thinking. Your feedback helps attorneys refine their cases before trial and you get paid for your time.

Each session happens live over virtual meeting platorm. You’ll log in using a secure link, meet a small group of other participants, and listen as both sides of a case are presented. You’ll then answer questions, discuss your thoughts, and fill out a short survey. Sessions typically last 4 to 8 hours and are led by a trained moderator.

Most sessions pay between $150 and $350, depending on length and complexity. You’ll always know the exact amount before you agree to participate. Payment is sent electronically within a few days after your session ends.

You can join multiple sessions over time as long as each project involves a different case. When a study matches your profile, we’ll email you an invitation to participate. You’re free to accept or decline.

To join, you must:

• Be 18 years or older
• Be a U.S. citizen eligible for jury duty
• Have access to a computer with a camera and microphone
• Have a reliable internet connection
• Be able to communicate clearly in English

You don’t need legal knowledge, and there are no right or wrong answers, we simply want your perspective.

Yes. All sessions are private and confidential, and every participant signs a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) before taking part. Your personal details are stored securely and are never shared with law firms, other participants, or outside organizations.

Yes. Because our sessions are interactive, we require participants to use their camera during the discussion. You don’t need professional lighting or equipment, just a quiet space and a clear view of your face.

Once you sign up, we’ll notify you whenever a case study matches your profile (based on location, age range, or background). You may receive invitations right away or after a few weeks, depending on upcoming projects.

Virtual Jury Box hosts civil cases, such as personal injury, employment disputes, contract issues, and more. You’ll never be asked to review criminal cases or sensitive material without advance notice and consent.

You can decline any invitation. There’s no penalty for opting out, and you’ll remain eligible for future sessions.

No. These are research studies, not official court proceedings. You’re helping lawyers test and refine their arguments, not deciding an actual case.

We recommend using a computer or laptop for the best experience. Phones and tablets can make it difficult to see exhibits, videos, or group discussions clearly.

You’ll receive an email confirmation with the session date, time, payment amount, and a secure Zoom link. You’ll also receive reminders before the session begins.

Payments are issued electronically within 1 business day of completing your session. You’ll receive clear instructions before your session begins.

Yes. Before joining your first session, you’ll sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) confirming that you’ll keep all case materials private. It’s quick, standard, and required for everyone.

No special software is required. You’ll receive a virtual meeting link.

Attorneys often want feedback from people who match the demographics of the jury pool where their case will be heard. By knowing your basic background (age range, location, occupation, etc.), we can invite you to sessions that fit those criteria.
